Consulate General Naha Celebrates America’s 233 Independence Day

July 3, Naha – Rain early in the evening did not dampen the festivities as close to 800 guests turned out to help Consul General Maher and the staffs of Consulate General Naha celebrate America’s Independence. With assistance from the American Chamber of Commerce in Okinawa, the USO, the US Military and a host of other contributors and sponsors the party was a huge success.

The Consulate General also extends our appreciation to the following artists and performers who graciously donated their time and talent to entertain our guests, they include: National Diet Member and renowned Okinawan musician Shokich Kina, Famed Okinawan Singer Misako Koja, the jazz band Booze Club, The Ryukyu Kirara Dance Troop, and the Karate Kid’s Karate Club who provided a demonstration of their martial arts skills.
