October 31, Naha - Consulate General Naha added some spooky fun to the Halloween with two special events to celebrate the holiday. On Friday, October 26th, Consul General Maher hosted a costume party at his home for important Japanese and American contacts. On October 31st, many officers and staff wore costumes and even passed out holiday treats to some of the Consular section's younger visitors. Both events, which were intended to educate Okinawans about American culture and values, were well received.
