Okinawa City, October 1 - A crowd of more than 450 people helped to create a festive atmosphere at an outdoor American Jazz Concert co-sponsored by Consulate General Naha and The Koza Shopping District Association. The Mike del Ferro Trio, consisting of pianist Mike del Ferro, bass player Yasuhito Mori, and drummer Sebastiaan Kaptein, performed for over 90 minutes on the cool fall evening.

Among the many honored guests in attendance were the mayor of Okinawa City, the Honorable Mitsuko Tomon, Deputy Mayor Yoshinori Shimabukuro, American Consul General Kevin Maher, President of the Okinawa City Tourism Association, Mr. Tomikichi Nakamura, members of the Okinawa City Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as members of the Koza Shopping District Association. Local shop owners were very happy at the large turn out and expressed their hopes that the event would contribute to the rejuvenation of the area.
