Naha - Ms. Ayano Tome and Ms. Haruna Uezato of Okinawa International University and Ms. Hikaru Oshiro and Ms. Sayuri Taba of Okinawa Christian Junior College were recognized for their service to Consulate General Naha at an awards dinner on September 21st. Honored guests included Mr. Tomoaki Toguchi, President of Okinawa International University and Mr. Shigemi Kamiyama, President of Okinawa Christian Junior College as well as distinguished faculty members from each University. Consul General Kevin Maher personally presented each intern with a Certificate of Completion and thanked them for their efforts.

The interns worked closely with the Consulate's Public Affairs Section where they learned about the day to day activities of the section and participated in public outreach and exchange programs.
