On May 24-25, approximately 20 Korean journalists who cover defense issues visited Okinawa for a series of programs arranged by the U.S. Forces Japan's Okinawa Area Field Office (OAFO) and Consulate General Naha. While on the island, the group toured Kadena Air Base and Futenma Marine Corps Air Station and received a briefing at the Three Marine Expeditionary Force's headquarters at Camp Courtney. Consul General Kevin Maher also addressed the group over dinner. They also visited a Japan Self Defense Force facility, Shuri Castle and the Okinawa Peace Park.
