
International Education Expert Meets with Governor
On February 14, Mr. John Lundin, a former Marine Forces Pacific employee who worked for two years to improve Okinawa English and international education programs, met with new Okinawa Governor Nakaima to discuss current developments. He was accompanied by Mr. Akinori Hayashi, Consulate General English programs specialist.
At the time, Lundin was on the second of three trips to Okinawa assessing the direction and goals of the Okinawa Development International Council (ODIC), a non profit organization recently recognized by the Okinawa Prefectural Government to improve Okinawan international education programs as well as relations between the Okinawan and American communities.
