ABC News’ Mark Haperin Visits Okinawa On December 11, ABC News Political Director Mark Halperin visited Okinawa and spoke to eight local journalists on the results of the recent mid-term elections in the United States.  Afterwards, Mr. Halperin participated in a dinner hosted by Public Affairs Officer Frank Stanley with Ryukyu University Professor Hoshino and five senior Okinawan journalists representing the Okinawa Times, Okinawa Television (OTV), Kyodo News Service, Jiji Press and Ryukyu Broadcasting (RBC).  The following morning, Mr. Haperin spoke with approximately thirty journalism and government students at Kadena Air Base.
