Urasoe City Mayor recognizes Consul General Reich

On June 27, Consul General Thomas G. Reich, center, was recognized by Urasoe City Mayor Mitsuo Gima, left, for his efforts in connection with the opening of the very first American Corners in Japan in Urasoe City.  In addition, he was recognized for his support for a youth baseball tournament that was held in the city this past year.    At Reich's right is Mrs. Seiko Kyan, wife of the Consul General.

The presentation took place at the American Corners at the Urasoe City Public Library.
