Tokyo Embassy Labor Attache Visits Okinawa to   Discuss Domestic Violence

On March 23, U.S. Embassy Tokyo Labor Attache Ann Kambara visited Okinawa to participate in a series of programs related to domestic violence and human trafficking. She conducted a courtesy call on Okinawa Prefectural Police Superintendent Ryojun Gibo. This was followed by a tour of the Okinawa Prefectural Womenfs Clinic shelter and a meeting with four activists in the field: Ms. Yumiko Higa, an Okinawa Womenfs Clinic shelter consultant; Ms. Masami Oshiro, the director of the Okinawan City Human Resources & Exchange Center; Ms. Chizuko Ogane, a clinical psychologist; and Ms. Chieko Nakamura, president of the Ginowan City gWomenfs Wing Association.h
