On January 27, Dr. Brenda Matthis, assistant professor, school of Education, at Lesley University, visited Okinawa to speak on "Special Education in the U.S. and Use of Technology in Special Education " before an audience of approximately 50 teachers from various schools for the deaf, handicapped and disabled on the island. The event was co-sponsored by the Okinawa Education Center, the prefectural training center for the islandfs public school teachers.
